Click the image above for a video from when Tim played at our house in January 2014 (while touring with fellow singer-songwriter Ben Bedford and with Diederik van Wassenaer on fiddle).

Tim Grimm has forged a 25-year career in the performing arts world, blending his love of songwriting, travel, and acting in theater, film, and television. He has a number of highly acclaimed and award-winning albums, and his most recent album, The Little In-between, was one of the most played albums reported by folk DJs for 2023. Prior to focusing on his songwriting, recording, and touring career, he worked as an actor in Los Angeles, where he co-starred for 2 seasons on the NBC drama Reasonable Doubts, worked on the film A Clear and Present Danger with Harrison Ford, and appeared in numerous other films and TV projects.

Nate Borofsky toured the world from 2001 to 2013 with the award-winning folk-pop band Girlyman, including a fantastic concert at the WPSU studio in 2006 as part of the Acoustic Brew Concert Series. Individually, Nate has won a Boston Music Award, and several songs he has written have been featured on the TV show Guiding Light and been recorded by internationally touring acts.

In addition to the March 14 house concert, Tim and Nate will be performing “Dreaming of King Lear: ballads inspired by bards & books” on March 15, hosted by Cynthia Mazzant and Jim Colbert and presented by Tempest Productions. Click here for details.

It’s very exciting to welcome Tim and Nate back to State College for two nights of wonderful performances!
